Hello,
Thank you for dropping by. I’m Kelly, and I’m an active member of Portland’s LGBTQIA2S+ community. I started my community service back in 1992 by securing the Mr. Portland Leather 1992 title. While fulfilling my title obligations, I founded a men’s group called CHAPS. It was an educational BDSM group consisting of monthly demonstrations on safer SM practices and topics. I went on to secure the Mr. NLA Portland 1994 title and continued my commitment to serving the LGBTQIA2S+ community with education and fundraising for a community still being devastated by HIV/AIDS. My husband of 28 years became very ill, and I had to drop out of the public eye to assist with his health for a short period. It was tough times.
In 2002, there was a new sex club opening in Portland called Steam Portland. I knew the gentlemen that were behind it, and they knew of my history of creating safe spaces for men to explore their sexuality guilt-free in safe environments. I was tapped as general manager, and I held that position through 2011. During that period, I collaborated closely with the Cascade AIDS Project and served on their advisory board for the Men's Wellness Center. I continued my services to the sex community by founding another men’s group called PDX Jacks in 2010. It was another safe space for the men’s masturbation community and all of its factions.
CUIR is the French pronunciation for leather. I make leather gear, pretty simple. It all began for me in 1992 by creating pieces for myself during my two leather titles. People seemed to like what they saw me wear, and it became more of a thing as I started producing pieces for other community members. I specialize in harnesses, dungeon/playroom gear, and a few accessories. All of my harnesses are custom-fit at this point. My process is that we will consult and decide on style, build, and hardware color. I’ll take your measurements and build the main pieces, then you come back and I build those pieces right on you for that perfect fit. I have recently moved the business end of things out of my home and am now in a commercially zoned business studio and too excited about it. You should come to see me.
Kelly
